If you type in FREDERICKA Whitfield at Google, you'll get a picture.  I think she looks better on the air, but the shot captures her on-air personality.  She reminds me of Claire Huxtable, without the mean streak.

Went downstate for a day.  Had a busy weekend at the restaurant.  Finished the re-master of Bob Seger - Get Out of Denver.   It sounds fantastic.  Better than Live Bullet, IMHO.   It has some tunes on it that he has not recorded anywhere else.   If anyone is interested in a copy, you can get it by signing up at the link I gave or give me a PM and I can set you up.

Oh, and the new smilies, if anyone has any requests, post them in site suggestions and I can take care of it.

I drove 1300kms in a $400, 23 year old truck to pick up a transmission and spare motor. Going there was fine (if a bit cold). On the way back I loss my printed directions, and had to drive through a big blizzard. Oh fun! It really cold here today -39C with the wind chill (interestingly converts almost the same in F: -38.2F)

You're a braver man than I. That's a hell of a showing by your Mazda -- My van never liked to run in anything below 0*F, and last winter the Passat was difficult to start at -20*.

And Tifosi (Dan), when it rains, it pours. Hope everything pans out for the best.

Odd how it's those kinds of trips in those kinds of vehicles always attached me to them, sometimes in a not so healthy way years later when they should have been junked but weren't because of, blech, sentimentality.
