With no forums at AW to hold him, that is a good question.

Who is this Rushman you speak of?  ???
Measures with mics, marks with chalk, cuts with axe, beats to fit and paints to match

Rich

If I have to explain (were it that I could), you wouldn't understand..... ???

MG

Nice use of the subjunctive pluperfect there, rich!   :hah:

Back in a galaxy far, far away, there was a website called The Combustion Chamber sponsored by AutoWeek magazine. Rich and Ultra and KU and AD and I met over there and have drifted from one place to another since the site was shut down by the management.  There was this fellow named Rushman who had a stream of consciousness style of delivery that would have done justice to your average in-patient in the locked ward at Bellevue.  Entertaining? Defininitely.  Sane?  Decidedly not. For those of you who have never had the pleasure, try to imagine a cross between Prof. Irwin Corey and Stephen Hawking.   :o

Now double it!    ;D
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of moments that take your breath away!

Couldn't have said it better myself....

...now, where were those aliens??

Well alright then. I've encountered similar, although they all seem to be singularities.

Here's an easier question, maybe: what happened to the Autoweek forums? I had just joined when they vanished.

They knew I was coming back so they took them down.

Hang on to your ego. They shut them down because they knew I wasn't returning.  ;D

The sad thing there is that, IMO, they dumped a good thing w/ CC2.  IIRC, they didn't like the "bickering" re- the political threads, some of the most entertaining reading I've done in years, BTW....

Ultra

I would like to run AW's forums.......

It would seem to be something that, if given the time and inclination, could have been done quite well, and increased the profitability (re- the advertising "click" revenue) of the rag.  But what do I know?...I'm letting my subscription go this year after over twenty years of subscribing......

I quit subscribing the day they threatened to take the orignal CC away from everyone because I put a link to it on CC2.  That was also the day I left the original CC, with bombast, to prevent the rest of CC from losing their forum.

Who knew then that group would follow me out the door?

Not me.

Now, I can't help but think it is too bad they didn't follow me one last time.    ;)   To each their own. O0
