I've been thinking about converting my MGB into a limo....

converting my MGB into a limo....

That's an excellent idea!  Lots of folks enjoy driving at night without headlights or instruments!    ;D

Hey, speaking of...I made a quick trip over to CN this a.m. and saw Shinsen's MGB....nice.....

Arthur Dent

sorry - its been done

MG

Naw, Rich's is a chrome bumpered beauty while this is a rubber baby buggy bumbered beast.  PAY ATTENTION!     :yeah:

Ah I apologize in that case and offer 10lbs of angle iron towards his limo conversion.  ;D

I'm waiting for someone to build a Smart stretch...

Might be a performance match for those old VW Beetle limos  :D

Rich

All I know is that w/ all the smog stuff that strangled those older MGB's, this one's gotta have a lot of get-up-and-go.........

Ultra

I like regular limos.  You can't get head in a convertible limo without too great a risk of causing a disturbance.

Yeah, yeah, it's photoshop. But keep in mind that's the way it should stay.

Otherwise, you get things like this:

Or this:
Measures with mics, marks with chalk, cuts with axe, beats to fit and paints to match

we get tons of those big arsed truck limos. thankfully none of the gullwing Corvette type. A friend of mine has an early 80s Caddy limo that he picked up cheap. Well trashed but oh so 70s/early 80s.

Actually thought of getting one of those when my kids were small...bought a minivan instead.  One problem with the van, my oldest [who was about 3 at the time] would get out of his car seat and open up the groceries on the way home from town.

Damn, I leave for a week and this thread balloons another 12 pages.

For those who care to know, I moved into the house in Missoula, MT yesterday. I have to go register for class on Wednesday, and then next Monday it's back to the grind. I had a good trip out -- got to spend a week visiting friends in Steamboat Springs on the way here. Sadly, all of that snow that's been hitting Denver has been missing the high country; the mountain was a little bare.

It's a balmy 5 above right now, but most of Montana has gotten jack squat in terms of snowfall this winter. Stupid El Nino... I blame Mexico for this.

Why of course. Just get your ass on Highway 2 and keep on comin'.

Ultra

Looks like myself and a couple other bikers could end up there.....

If you've never had a chance to see the place, you owe it to yourself to do it. I know some great places to camp out here too.

John Denver's damnable song notwithstanding, the Rockies are the most beautiful area I've seen in my life.
You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!

Ultra

Seen mountains but not the Rockies.

I've seen them many times and each time was like the first in terms of its impact and grandeur..unlike many other experiences I've had in my life........
