I have a fantastic, Pre FM broadcast of his 1989 Houston show right now in the car CD player. The sound is superb.  The band very tight in their very accurate to the studiio renditions of all of the songs we mentioned and quite a few other good ones "Dirty Laundry, Life in the Fast Lane, Desperado, and all of his other solo hits. Great stuff.

BTW, Don Felder is one of the best guitarists I've ever heard....and one of the, if not THE, most underrated/overlooked.

We're getting a genuine heat wave this week. It's supposed to be 40* tomorrow... time to wash the 1/8" coating of mag chloride off the car.

A special thanks goes out to the Utah D.O.T. for that one. :yuck:

Here in central Indiana, we'll only have about 3 of the next 7 days above freezing. 40 seems like a heat wave!

The Eagles are one of the most entertaining bands I've even seen in concert... actually twice. There isn't a weak spot in the band, although my personal favorite is Joe Walsh -- it might just be my Ohio bias (he's from Cleveland), but I think he's right up there with Clapton and Page although he's often overlooked. In a live show, stage presence counts for as much as musical prowess, and Joe has both in spades.

I saw him on Letterman a while back....Kids:  Don't Do Drugs. :o

ordered my Seven tires today - man tirerack is so cheap compared to what we pay in Canada. Shame UPS is going to rape me with trumped up fees when they deliver.

Rich

Been thinking hard about doing Banff as well on our mid-late June trip up; would love to meet you AD...

BTW, I've only had one negative experience w/ the TireRack and, ultimately, it really wasn't even their fault (warranty issue).

If there is anything you want to know about this neck of the woods let me know. There is a the Calgary Stampede on early July which attracts a lot of folks. You may want to avoid/plan for that time depending on if it appeals or not. The Reynolds Car museum is excellent but quite a bit farther north.

Amazingly I could not find any performance 13" tires in Canada - period. All winters or all seasons. Probably should have gone with at least 14" rims. Oh well. I've heard good things about Tirerack its UPS which I don't like. They will only ship via UPS and will not ship to a US warehouse with a Canadian credit card.  :'(

I got Sumitomo HTR 200 in 185/60HR13  - hopefully they work well. Good reviews.

Rich

Frankly, I'm most excited to see a Seven up close....never have.

Arthur Dent

See it? Heck that is easy. Assuming its finished I'm let you take a little spin in it!

That's all part of the persona he's developed over the years. If you ever watched the Drew Carey Show back in the 1990s, there's a good chance you might have seen Joe on there. He had a semi-regular part for a few seasons.

Hmmmm....he's a pretty good actor then....

Boxer2500

Well, I'm sure he's burnt out a few of his brain cells after 35+ years in rock and roll, but he exaggerates the part for interviews... sort of a caricature.

Nobody that plays guitar as well as he does can be completely braindead.

Rich

Dunno...ever since I learned that Clapton used to play w/ enough heroin in him to knock out Cleveland I've wondered where the combination of talent and practice takes over at a spinal level....

BTW, Best Walsh Song:

"Spent the last year
Rocky Mountain Way"

DAH DAH, DAH DAH....

Another great example of my point?

Joey can play guitar, intoxication level be damned.
