Title: Wireless internet.
Post by: trobinett on April 18, 2006, 01:10:36 PM
Well, we bought the latest, greatest Dell computer, so the wife can work at home.

We can`t get DSL or cable in our neck of the woods, dial up only.  But, I found out a company in town is now making "wireless" internet available.  Three times the speed of DSL, and like DSL your always on.

Speed is very important for filing warranty, and ordering online.

Any way, they were going to install the equipment last night, but the receiver couldn`t "see" the transmitter, so they are going to install a new transmitter on the "Tri-County" water tower which can be "seen".

Can`t wait to get going on this.  With gas costing so much, we will cut our fuel bill in half. ;D

So they're actually going to install a whole new transmitter just for you?!!

Who did you have to sleep with to get that kind of service?!!

I have had that wireless internet at my Rogers City restaurant.  It worked well and really was a godsend over dialup.

You will be very glad you have got it, once it is installed.

The new transmitter was already in the works.  I just hope they put this deal in "high gear", I'd like to have this done BEFORE gas reaches three bucks a gallon. >:(

One of those E85 Chevy's is starting to look pretty good. It's running more than 50 cents lower than unleaded. The Meijer chain in Michigan is adding a slew of E85 stations.

I understand a few stations are coming on-line in Little Rock, but none around these parts, we're about 70 miles North of Little Rock.

The Ford HD Chief can run on E85, looking better everyday. :)

Well, I guess they should've put it in "high gear" about a week ago then. Or is gas still a little cheaper down south?
