I agree it does have some resemblance, but AFAIK there are no Jensen bits at all!

Bristol base?

Again, I thought it rather resembled a Bristol in some areas, but it has no Bristol connection or bits at all!

Yes it's a self-built and yes, those rear lights are from a Toyota!

Chrysler?

I believe there are some Chrysler bits in there, but I don't know what and the car is not based on a Chrysler.

I had to agree with Bill, the reference to a GM base and the somewhat odd (no, I didn't say crude) looks made me think Holden, which led to a rather lengthy web search . . . there are a LOT of Holden specials!  I finally found it (I think):

It is Australian, and was built by Bill Nevid in the late 1960's (1968-69). It's based on a Holden EK, with a lot of other odds and ends thrown in.

Probably not allowed to comment yet, but.....Spot on Syracuse!!

Often a bridesmaid, never a bride.  I was about half an hour behind you but got caught up in cleaning up the tree leaves of the Autumn season here.

While not exclusive to Australia, I often wonder why people build such odd vehicles that really to me are not that visually attractive.  Perhaps just an exercise in combining bits and pieces to make a "something".

I used to dabble in plastic models fairly seriously and collected an amazing amount of literally boxes of parts/partial kits/broken kits etc. and I put together some equally odd combinations of parts so maybe Bill just did the same thing in 1/1 scale.

Sorry, Bill. I have no doubt you would have found it.  It took some searching, as I said, but FINALLY the car showed up on ozrodders.com, and there is even a front view of it (which isn't quite so bad, actually).
