No, it existed more than ten years.

A  S.C.A.P. from about 1923?

You say this manufacturer "existed more than ten years".  Was this manufacturer in business both before and after WWI?

I can't find any pictures, but might this be an Enders?

Did this car use an engine from an outside manufacturer such as SCAP?

Wendax

Yes, it did use an engine from another manufacturer, but not from SCAP.

4popoid

Is the engine manufacturer Ballot?

Is the puzzle car a Sigma?

Wendax

Yes, locked for you to name the type.

4popoid

I am away from my primary reference computer until this evening, but as I recall there were two sizes of Ballot engined Sigmas.  This car looks rather light, so I will try the smaller engine version, an: 8CV.

Wendax

Not an 8 CV. I need not only the CV classification, but the type designation, too.

Still locked for you.

4popoid

I have had very little time to work on this puzzle today, but this is what I have found so far.

With regard to CV, as I said before, I had two choices.  Since it Was not the 8CV, it must be the 20CV.

With regard to type designation, So far I have only been able to determine three types.  Specifically, Type R (1913-1916), Type V (1919-1924) and Type L (1925-1928).  I have not been able to find other types, including something for the 1917-1918 period, but, because that period was during WWI, there may have been a gap in the production.  I have been able to locate a photograph which more closely resembles the puzzle car than any photograph of the above type designations, but, unfortunately, this photograph has no type designation, only the caption "1913 Torpedo Speedster".  Since I am not sure that a letter type is required, I will say the puzzle car type is a: "Torpedo Speedster".  However if a letter type is required, based on the time frame of the discovered "Torpedo Speedster" photograph, I would guess that the puzzle car is a: Type R.

Wendax

It is not a 20 CV and not a Type R, but one of the other types you mentioned.

4popoid

Well, I did find a 10CV, Type V mentioned, but since it had no picture, and contradicted multiple other sources, I discounted it.  So, 10CV Type V?

Wendax

That's the correct one.
