Is this gas company still active ?

National and still alive; anyway I think that the quiz vehicles were only locally used.

Air Liquide?
If you mean the name of the company, it's not; if you mean the kind of gas this company sells it's right.

I must add something: the company that used this vehicle is neither ENI nor SNAM, but I understand that now they belongs to the same group.

Absolutely correct! These little vans were used at Asti, but perhaps also elsewhere. Does someone know something more about this obscure Ferrando make? A well deserved point for you Oko94!

In the French magazine L'Automobile nº 98 of June, 1954 it apears this same picture of the Italian Ferrando Ariete, thats the model name, there are two more pictures of the mechanical details. The engine was a 250 c.c. NSU motorcycle single cylinder air cooled placed in the front, it wa attached to a 90º transfer to drive the transmision shaft that moves the differential, at the rear shaft, trhu another 90º transfer, complicate assembly instead of place the engine crossways. It was promoted as a load capacity of 700 Kg. and a price of 600.000 liras with a suplement of 30.000 liras for a pair of doors.
