Singer and Aston Martin is right!

Not sure how to lock it, so kwgibbs and carnut can both have one guess each before it's opened up again (I think this will be a difficult one)

Thanks but no luck here.
As soon as I add "Singer" to the search I get lots of pictures of lads with guitars and mops on their heads (and of Frank Sinatra!) but nothing connected with this car...

I don't think he was known for any other cars

If the builder wasn't known for building cars, was he known for anything?

I don't think so! Just a one-off by a private individual

Barrett hasn't logged on here since last September and hasn't answered a question since June 2019, so I wouldn't expect an answer any time soon.
If any of the Editors knows the answer to his puzzles they would answer any questions, but unfortunately none of us seem to know the answer to this one...

He promised to come back later this week and clean up his puzzles

Aston Martin DB1 ?
Looks more like a 2-Litre Sports/DB1 body chopped down to fit on a Singer 9 chassis

That sounds promising; I hope he does.
He was a great contributor with some super puzzles so I do hope he wants to continue here.

Hi - just using my lockdown time to pop in again to Autopuzzles after a long absence.

This one is 'back in play' then - it is indeed a Singer which has been modified with panels from an Aston DB1. I'm just looking for the builder's name but I think it will be hard to find.
