MG?
Yes - it's an MG based car. LOCKED for you. Who is the driver?
Unlocked.
Since my time in SR!
I can only find two Rhodesian MG Specials one of which isn't like the puzzle car and the other (which I can't find a photo of) was driven by Chris Annesley, so perhaps it's him and perhaps the car is his CRA Special?

Afraid not. If it's any help, the year is 1953.
I left in January 1950!

"the 1953 Heany 100 lists around 10 MG Specials, non of which carry the number 25. I don't have anything for other races in 1953" says a man who covers racing history in Rhodesia

My source was a publication which covered international race winners for 1953, and I have taken my information from the caption attached to the photo. There is always the possibility that the caption was incorrect. What is the Heany 100? A race? That's not the name of the race won by this car.

Sorry to be late in response. Last night my laptop refused to connect to a search engine (it's new too, bought on Black Friday!) so i watched the new Hanks movie and went to bed.
Not Trygg. You've tried so hard I'll LOCK it for you. The surname is the title of someone who uses a lathe (at least it is in the UK).

Turner?
That's it! This image was taken from the 1953 Castrol Book of Achievements and the caption tells us that this is B. Turner in his MG Special winning the unlimited scratch race at the Rhodes and Founders Road Race, Umtali.
Thanks for the point!
