A special bodied Talbot-Lago?
called a Lago-Record coupé of 1948 and said at the time to be the world's most powerful production car with 170 b.h.p
I'd say its a Grand Sport, but what we really want to know is who did the body.
It could be Bridee.
Well, the coachbuilder is Van den Plas from Brussels.
Well, you've ID'd the manufacturer, and the name of the coachbuilder that cloaked it - now, what it is?
Missed that :( But if I'm allowed I'd say that it is 1948 Talbot Lago T26 Grand Sport Coupe by Van den Plas.
1948 Talbot Lago T26 Grand Sport Coupe by Van den Plas simply?
Edit: Hey! You've cut in while I was typing. That's not fair :P

Yes, you're allowed.
What is this car? The make and model, please, and the coachbuilder.
Posting what I think I know so far. Its a Talbot Lago that participated in the Liège Rome Liège Rally, likely in 1952. Still working on year and coachbuilder.

Yes indeedy. LOCKED for you.
I can't photoshop so some very obvious clues were left on the puzzle photo. To get your point, please tell me the model of Talbot-Lago and the coachbuilder.
Got it. 1948 Talbot Lago T26 Grand Sport by Van den Plas.

Yes indeed! It's great to award points to Rookies. Please keep coming back.
It was a 1948 chassis rebodied in 1952. (I never quite know how to spell the coachbuilder's name in respect of capital letters - should it be van den Plas? Maybe we have a Flemish member who can tell me).
They didn't seem to know themselves!
The only one missing is what BMC used - Vanden Plas!
And that's the reason you didn't find this car although it is a repost (wrongly titled Vanden Plas): http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=6294
Could someone merge them please?
So it's Van den Plas, van den Plas, Vanden Plas, Van Den Plas, and even Vandenplas. Still, they make nice chocolates and frites.
I just checked the Wikipedia entry - the company was first called Carosserie Van den Plas, but the family name is spelt van den Plas (which is I would expect), but after that the website calls them Vanden Plas. So that doesn't help much.
Strange things, these Flemish and Dutch names - reminds me of the Dutch striker Jan Venegoor of Hesselink. Try getting that printed on the back of a shirt.
Please , what is this car , and by whom ? for 1 point :)
