This impressive dark coloured two-tone gran turismo bus was built by SICCA on top of the Alfa Romeo 800A chassis and running gear. This specific bus participated in a concours and won the first prize for best design.

Another light coloured two-tone bus on the 800A chassis mechanicals was made by SICCA with the same design, but the only difference that the roof windows became tinted to avoid sun issues for the passengers (perhaps as a lessons learned of the first example?).

You did a very good job removing the DOLOMITI name from the nose, and the bus company from the door without being obvious.

I also think, that this bus is Alfa Romeo based. But found this picture in a well-known German magazine, where it is identified as an Isotta-Fraschini

Thank you "fromwien" for the German magazine excerpt. As the larger photo from "SACO" clearly shows it is an Alfa Romeo, but who knows SICCA applied the same design to Isotta Fraschini mechanicals as well. For the Alfa Romeo 800A version at least two samples were built, perhaps same design was applied to other chassis' as well.
