Surely the jet is a fake - either that or the number plate mount is made of titanium or similar.

Stanley Eakin's "Comet," a rocket-themed custom with a Ford 60 horsepower flathead V8 engine. Built in Grove City Ohio US, the car was under construction for six years before completion in 1954.
