VW 'Sportwagon' driven by Pecters and Gendarme, 1952 Liege-Rome-Liege
Correct!
What's this, what is it based on, who built it and when - for 1 point?:
Edit: I understand this car has been puzzled before but it seems neither its name nor the builder's name were known so weren't part of the puzzle.
They are now! So the car's and thebuilder's names and from when it dates are essential for the point. The puzzle can be merged once it's solved (again)..

volkswagen based from czech Republic?
It's VW-based yes, but not from Czechoslovakia (as it was then of course!)
This car is designed and built by Laurent Colson, who based it on a VW. It was shown on the 1951 Brussels Motor Show.

That's correct, yes, so you're now three-quarters of a Pro!
I'm going to merge this with the original puzzle of the same car, but I've taken the liberty of changing its heading to show the name of the car/builder rather than just who drove it in the Liege-Rome-Liege, which I think will make it easier to trace in the future.
More pictures showing his drawing of it from 1949 and the unmodified puzzle photo:
Below is a post I found about this car which is interesting and self-explanatory:
QUOTE
My name is Laurent Colson, and believe it or not, I'm Laurent Colson's grand-grand son. For your information, LC was not German but Belgian. The factory was located in Liege, BE.
This car was designed for the Automotive Salon in Brussels in 1951. Laurent Colson designed several other cars going from sport cars to ambulances ! :) If you guys need more information about the LC cars, feel free to contact me at my email address.

Please find this car. Name, model, builder, year, country...
Up!
Colsson 1951, made in Belgium with VW components
Yes!, Locked for you to give the name
Laurent Colson,
Car shown at the Brussels Salon 1951
Yes, he's the builder, but the car has a name itself
Volkswagen Colson Sport
if not, please unlock.
No. Open to all
if someone can read the plate, I'm not able....
Not in this image, but the puzzle picture has the name on it. (Obviously, I blanked it).
In an older puzzle, it has been named: VW Sportwagon
I don't know. This picture called it with name and model
Up!
Is it the beach buggy?
No, it's more like a sportscar
Roadster ?
It's a Roadster but the name is not related to the shape. The middle part of the name are related (I guess) to the size of the engine. Xxxxxx xxxx XX
It looks like this car been on AP before,it was known as (Colson VW Special by Laurent Colson)-1951,it mentions the factory was located in Liege,Belgium. This car was designed for the Automotive Salon in Brussels in 1951.Laurent Colson designed several other cars going from sport cars to ambulances. It doesn,t mention any further information.
As I said before, this picture has written name and model. After solved, it can be merged
Enigma 3000 GT
That's the one I have.
I have my doubts that "Enigma 3000 GT" is the name given by Laurnet Colson. It looks like a recent addition to an old photograph to me.
Merged.
This is actually the third time it has been puzzled, but something is a bit odd because the original puzzle was set by Allemano yet the title to it states 'NEH 2444'!
Don't know what's happened there...

When you merge two puzzles you can choose which title the merged topic shall have. I guess whoever merged these two thought your description in the title to be more appropriate.

I've found this picture in a Facebook group (where are some Autopuzzles members), and brought it here. Maybe the named is added, I don't know.
Never heard about that name, and cannot find any relation, why this car should be named '3000 GT'...The word 'Enigma' (Greek αἴνιγμα aĆnigma) means in its translation 'riddle', 'puzzle', 'mystery'.... may be this curious name will still stay here as a mystery????????????
Better photo (took me a while to figure out how to upload this...!)
