Who knows this vehicle?
Time to move this one up perhaps?!
From the looks, I'd say a Mars Rover concept circa mid 50's to early 60's. Probably posted in one of the higher end Sci-Fi mags, though possibly Popular Mech or Popular Science. Perhaps earlier because he's breathing Mars air.
GM actually built a manned moon rover in the early 60's to cash in on the space race. Powered by a Corvair engine, it would have required its own rocket to get off the ground, and another rocket to supply it.
This one has spent over one and half years on the Rookies board! Is that a record?!
Perhaps it's time to give mperry a reply, although I think the lack of a reply to his post has perhaps put him off a bit since he hasn't logged on for 5 months...
Seems like it will be revealed in an upcoming "Rare & Unique vehicles" magazine by one of the forum members here. Most probably after the appearance of that particular issue this puzzle will be solved 8)
Seems like a miniature to me.
Bump!
Bump again...
And bump again..

Same here. Sorry - I seem to have disabled automated notifications for this.
It is not a GM concept.
