It is a Bernath body, so I will lock this for you. But it is not his SS 100 creation.

Only 25 to choose from . . . but this isn't one shown on a well-known website. As a wild  guess, how about the 1936 Auburn 831?

Yes, that's what I think it is. I took it from a July 1946 magazine, unfortunately not naming the chassis used. But following the exclusion principle it has to be the Auburn 851 (as far as I know) that was bodied by Bernath in 1946. One more point for you.
