Somehow, I didn't think it was but wanted to eliminate it.

Here endeth my knowledge of Clubman's cars.  Cue a sigh of relief from GTE4289 who doesn't have to tactfully say  :crap: to my guesses any more (on this puzzle anyway)

I am not sure when it was built, but I would guess sometime in the 1980s. The owner/builder was driving a different (but similarly-named) special in 1978.
