Built in the 1940s, but certainly not mass-produced. In fact, I am only aware of one example with this particular body/configuration.
Found it - the 1946 Feiying (Eagle) three-wheeler.

By the way, Feiying vehicles were produced by the Tianjin Auto Repair Works. The company constructed new bodies and married these to Daihatsu trikes which had been captured from the Japanese. Ten Feiying examples were revealed to the public at the opening of a new road from Tianjin to Beijing--one closed passenger vehicle (like the puzzle vehicle) and nine pickups. Drawings of a convertible passenger vehicle also exist, but I don't know if any of these convertibles were actually produced.
