No. Very known guy
The last name related to the original Jeep that I could find is Ralph Turner, who can't really be described as "very known" (and does his name sound American enough ?)
I'm rather confused by this puzzle, as I can't associate the original Jeep with a very known guy...
Ok, let me give a hint. His contribution was a functional part of the jeep.

Did he design a mechanical component ?
Yes
Did he design the Jeep's engine ?
No
Did he design the Jeep's transmission ?
No
Did he design the Jeep's suspension ?
Yes
I've read many articles about the original Jeep but the suspension's engineer is never mentioned. The closest thing I've found so far is Delmar Gerle "Barney" Roos working on the Planadyne suspension for the post-war Jeep Station Wagon, but Roos has already been dismissed (replies 44/45).
So, was that suspension engineer working for Bantam, Ford or Willys ?
Bantam
Harry Miller.
Was the other guy involved in the puzzle car Preston Tucker ?
I've found the original photo. Caption says "1932 AUTO RACING LEGEND BARNEY OLDFIELD HARRY MILLER TOY CAR MODEL RACER PHOTO".
That's it!
Thanks.
Here's another picture.
Year should be 1932, not 1962.
I don't know, but in the backside of the picture is written 6/4/62
Caption of the article I've posted :
"Six Miles Per Minute Seen by Master Driver", by Barney Oldfield an American pioneer automobile racer. Barney talks about his plans to break the Land Speed Record and shows off his model of the proposed racer.
Barney began auto racing in 1902 and continued until his retirement in 1918. In 1932 he tried to re-enter speed racing with a new car design, but was unable to find any financial sponsors.
This is a 2 page magazine article from 1932
Pages measure 6 1/2" x 9"."
Clothes and car design are clearly from the thirties.
Moreover Barney Oldfield died in 1946 and Harry Miller in 1943.
Sorry but your picture post is not readable. If you're right the puzzle picture must be from a magazine article years after

That date just fits the real timestamp of the puzzle picture: April 30, 1932 at 11:25 hours.
I didn't realize that could be the date. i've tried to modified the header, but didn't let me
The header was too long. Fixed now.
Thank you!
