Can we please ask the family to move just a little bit? I just need a name here for a point. The family or the brand name (which is just the same)
Experts?
The position of the rear wheels is more then only obscure. Mid-engined?
The engine, which had an interesting layout for an automobile engine was placed at the rear
Radial-engine, like propelled aircrafts?
yes :)
I have no idea about the car by now, but..
...may it be possible that i've found a face of the pictured people at your 'Hungarian motoring history'-website?
oh yes :) :)
very good
now you earned a lock
Meray?
The Threewheeler of my picture with Mr. Meray looks similar to the Fourwheel-Puzzle-car...
very, very good, you are eagle-eyed
In 1933-1934 Tibor Takátsy, who worked for Magyar Acélárugyár (Hungarian Factory of Steel Goods) the parent company of Méray Motorcycle Co designed a chassis with a three-cylinder radial engine. Nine trucks and one passenger car was completed. The puzzle picture shows Endre Méray-Horváth with members of the family Méray family and the mysterious passenger car. There were three other photos known but those have disappeared in the last 20 years and only a colour photocopy remains of those.
Great information. Thank you so much. I had no idea about this car at first. Remembered only this sharp, proudly face of the builder, Mr. Méray....
Another view of this car
Were there more than one or was it modernized? It has a completely different bodywork and different wheels.
Come to think of it, you are right.
It is possible that the puzzle car is a different model after all, which nobody remembered. It was very difficult to do research on this company.
