Can you identify this car? I need base and coachbuilder.
Is it a Peugeot 404 coupé?
Fiat 1200 by Pininfarina?
Not a Peugeot and not a 1200 Pininfarina, but the base is a Fiat.
Fissore?
not Fissore.
Italian body ?
Is the base a Fiat 2100?
I know Farina did a Fiat 1200 hardtop coupe in 1958. Is this it? It would have to be 1958 or thereabouts because of the similarity to the Peugeot 404 and Morris Oxford.
It's not by Farina...and not a 1200.
Fiat 2100 by Moretti ?
Non 2100 and not Moretti.
1500 by Fissore?
Not 1500 and not Fissore.
Abarth?
Neckar, by Bertone ?
Fiat 1200, 1500, 2100: Is it an 1800?
Pininfarina, Moretti, Fissore, : Michelotti?
Annoyingly I recognise the car on the right but I can't put my finger on it. Given its size, I think the puzzle car might be a 600 (or 750) base

Is it an Italian or German made Fiat ?
The base is a Fiat 1100, I don't know which but I think a 103 base. The coachbuilder is German.
Struggling to find other German coachbuilders of the era, so was this Fiat's body made by one of the engineering/bodywork schools that seemed to be more commonplace in Germany than in many other countries post-war?
Yes, it is.
A school based in Aachen?
Meisterschule Kaiserslautern?
Damn! GTE just beat me to it, as I've just found the photo below from the MHK-KL as the Meisterschule Kaiserslautern is known today. The photograph also shows a bespoke MHK-KL VW Typ 1 and Porsche-based special, in addition to the puzzle Fiat 1100.
It's correct...and I think it is correct to give a point both to GTE and to Djetset who got the key to find the correct answer.
Very much appreciated. Thank you TGF :)

Good call.
I agree.
Once I saw Djetset's question and your answer I figured it must be the Meisterschule in Kaiserslautern but didn't post that as I thought it should be Djetset's puzzle to solve.

Yes, I think it was probably bad timing on my part. For whatever it's worth, I had tried to post my response several days ago, but was blocked by the 'less than 30 seconds' function (even though it had been hours since my last post) and then forgot all about it. After seeing new activity in the thread and realizing my response had never been posted, I probably should have just let it go. Regardless, I'm happy to see a point go to Djetset.
By the way, here's a higher resolution version of the image:
According to a well-known website this car was designed by Everardus Den Hartog.
