A New Idea?

I have an idea.

I can change the program so the "Pros Only" board can be seen by Expert Level and above.  Experts will then be able to post puzzles and respond to their own puzzles within the "Pros Only" area, but to guess at any of the posted puzzles one will have to be either a Pro or a Feature Writer.   If we then use that section as a place to use Pre-war cars as one of the likely elements of the puzzles posted there that by doing so will give it it's own character as well as address a couple of issues that have come up in the course of our growth as a site.

Thoughts anyone?

???

I do not know if I've understood you last sentence correctly, but would highly appreciate an own channel for Pre-War cars. It would be a catagory which I would visit not so frequently...  :D

The idea of puzzle which are only to be solved by pros would quite attract my attention.  :)

Loosely speaking, Pre War cars to be solved by Pros and Feature Writers is the idea I propose.  Would inspire slow progressing Experts to consider being Feature Writers as well.

Remember everyone, these are suggestions on how to use the boards efficiently not hard and fast rules for every puzzle posted.  There is no need to toooo heavily chastise the dolts who are bound to foul it up now and again.

As a pre-war car man who has not been quite diligent enough to become a pro, I'm not too keen on this!

But I suppose I could contribute a treatise on something esoteric to achieve Feature Writer status, although that almost seems like cheating!

PS in case you wonder about that first phrase, i'm both a pre-war "car man" and a "pre-war car" man ;D
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

An important distinction.  ;)

ICan we still post pre-war car puzzles in the other sections?
Because if we don't and that Experts and Rookies can't solve pre-war car puzzles at all, I think this idea sucks.

Allan L, it is definitely not cheating to use the Feature Writer method and, as I see it, nothing could be further from the truth.  Solving 200 puzzles is a solitary exercise in self education.  When someone writes a story here, everyone benefits with new material to read.  I think being a Feature Writer is, by far, the most noble way to enter this club.  The structure is set up as it is in order to generate interest in, and attempt to encourage, people to contribute their own Feature Writings.  If you do so now you only re-enforce that the idea I have brought forth has merit.  Besides, I know you and most guys who have great knowledge of pre-war cars should also be the guys with the most stories to tell.

Regale us with your stories, please.

The Pros and Feature Writers board exists for two purposes.

1) As a draw to Experts to want to become either a Pro or a Feature Writer

2) MOST IMPORTANTLY!  As a place for the Pros to keep each other engaged with puzzles strictly for them to work on.

Hence, please gentlemen, start giving yourselves some puzzles to work on.  Post some puzzles here!!!

Maybe some harder ones next time!

I just posted two, which hopefully will be challenging and hopefully our professionals/feature writers will try to solve these.
