I've been trying to follow the Rear Light Misteries thread. Great idea!
May I suggest to make it individually apart to make it easier to track and solve them. It's confusing to know if they're all matched or still some to find.

I tried to move up a puzzle of mine, but the Move button is gone.

I've changed the Masters permissions so that it should work now. Please try again.

Sorry to bother, but the add points buttons are missed. I owed a point

I've given the Masters the permission to change other people's karma now. Try again, please.

The 'Remove' button went missing in the Puzzles, Games and Name That Car section posts, has something changed? It appears everywhere else, though, including this post.

Carnut

Do you mean in the Rookies, Experts etc sections?
There haven't been any changes and it's there in all the posts as far as I can see.

Yes, Carnut. Those are the sections I meant where the button does not appear anymore, strangely.

Carnut

It may be that only Editors can access those buttons on some boards.
I can see them so I've no idea whether others are supposed to be able to or not!

Oddly, the Remove button appears in "Solved" puzzle threads but not in the others.

Carnut

Yes that is odd.
I'm not sure anyone but Editors should have it.
Maybe Pal can say?

It only appears in my own threads, by the way.

Carnut

OK; I'm sure that's because you can only Remove your own threads not other peoples' then!

Correct. The question remains as to why the ability to do so has disappeared from all puzzle forums except for the "Solved" forum.

Carnut

It's still there on my computer...

I guess it just disappeared for us non-Editors. It was there before. :(

Allan L

I see Remove buttons on all posts in threads I started and on my posts only in other threads. It may have changed but I feel it's always been so.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

So the issue seems to be with regular users (not Editors or Feature Writers) and only in the Rookie, Expert, Professional and Master AutoPuzzles forums.

To clarify, this is what I would normally see as a regular user:

All posts by others in threads that I did not start - Quote
All posts in threads that I started - Quote, Modify, Remove
All posts by me (whether or not I started the thread) - Quote, Modify, Remove

And here are the current exceptions:

Posts by others in Professional and Master AutoPuzzles threads that I started - Quote (Modify and Remove have disappeared)
Posts by me in Professional and Master AutoPuzzles (whether or not I started the thread) - Quote, Modify (Remove has disappeared)

As a Pro, I can no longer see any buttons in the Rookie and Expert AutoPuzzles forums, but it sounds as though these forums have been affected by the same issue.

Maybe you could try it with a regular user account. This option was definitely there. :)

The replies in this section (or possibly only in this thread?) do not show up in 'Show new replies to your posts' for some reason. Bug or feature?

Wendax

Feature! I think it has to do with the fact that deleted posts are moved to this thread.

This may not be the place to ask, and I should probably hold on to my Rookie status to get more puzzles, but I did write a feature article about Chrysler's pre-war Southwestern Native American fabric interiors (spoiler: they were publicized and prototyped but production was interrupted by WWII).  However, there has been no acknowledgement of it or me as a feature writer.   Is there something more I should do?  Thanks!

Carnut

I will upgrade you to a feature writer.
It won't affect your puzzling status so you can still partake in Rookie puzzles until you get 50 points, but it does mean you can post in places you can't with only Rookie status.
Thanks for the article!
