HISTORY CHANNEL, "AMERICAN PICKERS"
« on: November 13, 2013, 03:28:23 PM »
Guys and Gals,
I am hoping that Autopuzzles gets nationally mentioned on an episode of American Pickers tonight, 11/13/13.

http://www.history.com/shows/american-pickers/episodes

The History channel airs the American Pickers weekly to an average audience of 4 million or more.
The Harris fwd Speedster, herein in Autopuzzles, will be in the episode tonight.

If it were not for Charlie, Otto and PJ, let alone many other's herein the community, the fascinating History of Ben and his special creation would have never came about, my sincere thank you to all.

Ben's Speedster was nothing like anything else that had ever built in the world, if you are unfamiliar with it.
Perhaps the pattern, size, design and aero dynamics of the first exotic supercar in the world ?

That is best left up to the reader, >>> I hope that they do not cut my numerous mentions of Autopuzzles while we were filming.

BTW; 12 crew members, as well as Mike and Frank, converged on my small town and shop for 7 1/2 hours.
I mention this as many do not realize what it takes for an episode, it was a true life experience for me !!!

Only at Autopuzzles, the best car guys & base of automobile history in the world, I proudly boast it at every site I visit or write in !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Warm regards,
John

PJ, Otto, Ultra
Yes, hopefully more documents, pictures, magazine articles>>> who knows >> maybe even someone that had met Ben >> that is possible !!!!

Yeah, I was disappointed about that to Ultra>>> mentioned AP about 6 times while they were filming the speedster.
Noticed about 600 have visited the Harris today>> so all is not lost>>> re-runs and a bunch of car guys which missed the initial episode will add tremendously>> I would think.
Plus>> 2 different guys are going to do you tube features on the speedster>> AP will be in both, as I can have some control.

The History Channel crew did a very nice job on the Speedster, I was really quite impressed.,
I look to dam old though>>ha !!

First time the Speedster has actually been shown since 1956, it was by Invitation, and it won best of show >>> the episode brought it forth in a deserving spotlight >> to 4 million in one night >>> I would bet that if it is truly possible ""Ben is smiling "" , as it was quite the show for all to see !!!!!!!

It would be my guess that the Speedster will get googled a bunch from here on out>> always do my best to bring new visitors and members to the greatest automobile archival site on the planet.

A special thanks to all the great guys herein which made it possible !!!!!

Otto,
They called the episode, Tough Texas.
Yes, it will start re-runs in a day or so.
