I was a bit wrong, as I think the booklet, Speed and Sport was published much earlier than 1957, possibly 1953 or so. It is Trend Book No 104, while Trend Book No 112 (Manual of Building Plastic Cars) was published in 1954.

I knew McAfee but wasn't sure that McFee was the same...it is not the only mistake in Mike Lawrence's book...

The instruments are 1930s Peugeot and the motor is AutoBleu Marine. Is not believed to be original but it is all leading up to the conclusion that it is French.

The rear end is different, at least it seems to me so, as well as the front to be honest. If it is French, maybe we should ask at some French forums then?

I AM SORRY, SORRY, SORRY! I have messed up badly. I just gave out wrong information for this car. I got completely confused with another car that I am researching. This car is just a shell. No instruments and no motor.
I suspect it is an American body for a Bantam or Crosley or some such.
Again, I apologize profusely.

I found a very old ...vehicle... with a fake horse mounted on the front, a 5th wheel under the beast and an engine on that wheel...quite bizarre!
It's the Barsaleaux from 1897.
