I have found this mystery in a magazine dated back from 1939. Unfortunately there are no hints to its name, so I am asking for Your, AutoPuzzlers, help. Thank You!

the car is presented in 3 different places as a Motor-kar (in a museum there is even a display card with that name) but if you read the logo, there is "Moto-Scod".

Badges look like 'Moto-Scoot' to me...

That was my idea too, but there are 2 logos, and 1 in another picture, and in none of them is clear, and there is no line for the T...

I bet it's Moto Scoot!.
1. It does make sense!  ;D
2. The "T" of "Moto" seemingly also misses a line.  ;)
3 There several results if you do the search "Moto Scoot"!  :D

Arunas, this "Information requests" topic you've started is beginning to be a nuisance. In fact, I think it goes again the whole idea of Autopuzzles (at least my idea of it). This forum's purpose isn't to help you gather information about the cars you don't know. Not only.

I had that car ready for a puzzle. In fact it was my Whaddyacallit #257 and it should have been online a month ago if I hadn't got mixed up with my list. Thanks to you it will go to the wastebasket.
You've been pestering us since you're here with your information requests. What keeps you from making puzzles of these cars?
The fact that you don't know yourself what they are is no obstacle. All you have to do is ask the puzzler who identifies it to bring some element of proof.

Mr Ray B,

Thank You for Your reply, but:

1) That's not exactly me who has started this thread
2) It is Your opinion, expressed in this post. I must respect it, but not follow it.
3) This topic shows once again that there are people who are not ready to help from time to time, because of some reasons:
  a) They find all cars like puzlles: puzzle here, puzze there, puzzles everywhere
  b) They think information request is a dumb think
  c) They think I am destructing the forum idea what is an absolute nonsense
4) Why should we discuss these things at all?

Don't worry, Arunas. I was mostly feeling grumpy, and I never dreamt you would change anything.

I have to agree with Arunas. I think the point of AutoPuzzles is precisely to unveil unknown cars so that everyone can have that info if they'd like to.
Personally, I'm against the idea of simply "question-answer". Why not discussing the cars?

The fact that Arunas has posted this one as "unknown" can happen o anyone. It's as much of a risk to ask for a car we don't know as to post a puzzle that other knows. One doesn't just guess! As a gentlemen's agreement, we can apply the principle of "whenever one posts a car unknown for him  at this topic, the other who knows the car and is going to post it as a puzzle just says so". But considering any other user knows the car and answers the "asker" in this topic, is very likely to do the same in the puzzle, so I can't see why all the fuss.

Anyway, I find Arunas' idea a good one and I send him my kudos for that.

Sure Joao, whynot? I never said I was against discussing the cars, nor in favor of a simple question-answer forum. If you take a look at my puzzles, you'll see that I have added other pictures or interesting details about the puzzled car whenever I had them. There is no need to ask.

I am only saying that the idea of a topic solely dedicated to gather information about cars lacking to Mr.A or Mr.B is competing with the puzzles. And that it would a better idea to combine both things. I explained above that it wouldn't be a problem at all.
Now you puzzlers do it how you like, I have no intention of enforcing anything upon others.

Thanks, Joao!

I would like to add the following:

The AutoPuzzles forum is a forum where people solve puzzles, but I think there are no section (expect for Information Requests || What is this car ? thread) where people could ask us, puzzlers, for automobile identification. Let's say a person comes to the forum, but we are just identifying cars for the points, the points and once again the points. Shouldn't we forget scoring points and help not each other (as we should do I deeply believe), but also offer our help for guests who could post their cars, asking what this or that could be (requests must me restricted my rules of course!). AutoPuzzles is a forum where best of the best automobile experts express themselves. My question is: should we just show how good we are by scoring hundreds of points or also being a team of professional identifiers?

Once again I think that you both are right.
When I joined this site I posted my first puzzles and among them a serie of "Need your help" puzzles, where I was posting the cars that I didn't know and giving a point to the person who solve it, just like a puzzle and just like Ray B. is suggesting.
If you have such a car, Arunas, why don't you post it?
On the other hand, if Arunas, or whoever, would like to have info about a car, but don't feel like answering questions he can't or  giving clues he do not have, I think He won't harm anybody. I understand Ray's disappointment in looking good puzzles going to the wastebasket, but this is nobody's fault.
Arunas (because now we are talking about him) is emailing me for his requests and I'm glad to help him, but I think that probably all of you would be interested in having the 30 pictures I sent him of Balbo's cars or the other rarities I found on my books for him. He is the one that, with no problem at all, show us his curiosity and if we can, why won't help? If we think this is annoing, we can just jump to another page.

But please do not involve me, personally, in this great discussion. Thank You!  :)

Paul is absolutely right. I'm all fore on giving the liberty of choice to the puzzlers on either posting a puzzle or just asking in a topic. I think noone's going to be hurt with that. But as I've said several times to Arunas, I'm free on offering all info I have on the solved puzzles. I assume I don't make it as often as I would like but that's also due to lack of time. Cause it's not all about solving puzzles, it's also about sharing information, even if mostly that's made just by ID'ing a car.

But Ray, I don't see how can a unknown car for someone be "competing" with the puzzles. If we don't know what it is, it won't "harm" the puzzles in wait-list. If that car's on anyone's list, just say it out and I think we're civilized enough to agree not to insist on that car until it's puzzled and solved!

Just a few thoughts...
