Fellow AutoPuzzlers,

As much fun as it may be to solve puzzles, please do your part in contributing puzzles of your own, as well. Some of the senior members here have posted hundreds, and even thousands, of puzzles. I've invested many hours over the last six years constructing and posting puzzles for others to solve. I'd love to spend more time sleuthing and solving more puzzles posted by newer members. But fewer than 20% of the members are posting 80% of the puzzles.

It doesn't take much effort, so , please share some of your unique photos as puzzles, or introduce some new puzzle themes of your own.

I think I can speak for all of the admins and senior puzzlers when I say we'd all enjoy seeing your puzzle contributions, too!

Don't be afraid, just do it! We all started as Rookies. :)

ok.  I understand. Next week I'll put some puzzles on this site. I hope I don´t make mistakes like too big sizes of the pictures etc.)

A width of 450-800 Pixel is sufficient.

To obey your request, I did an effort today in posting some new puzzles.
Main problem I have as a 'semi-professional' is that
a) the cars I bump into are way too easy to get ever passed the Rookie section unsolved so it's IMO not worth posting them,
or
b) they have already been posted and solved in the past.
Only rarely, I bump on something that is interesting for Autopuzzles.
I really do not know where you folks keep finding all these mystery cars!

A similar problem occurs to solve puzzles.
The ones I know are almost always solved by rookies/experts.
And the rare times something I know appears in the Professional section, most of the times someone who is active more frequently is faster in grabbing the point.
I don't think that nowadays I score more than 20 points a year.

Despite of that, I keep visiting the website regularly because sometimes real gems that I did not know the existence of pop up.
This website is a real treasury!

Almost all 75america writes applies to me!
I just add a puzzle when something takes my eye, the last two being a car I happened to be parked near at someone's birthday party which I thought was suitable and the production shop photo I had added to Otto's thread about such things.
Like my previous few the Rookies have not guessed either - but then those of us with an interest in cars of the first half of the 20th century or earlier become Experts quite soon and Pros all too soon after that.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

I'll try to post more often as well

I still have many puzzles to post but I'm just taking a breather at the moment........

The last salt flats event will be run next week (10/03-10/06) and then I may have some time to go thru my photos from car shows and racing events.  I'll do my best, although I take more pleasure from trying to solve the puzzles.

Thanks to the Experts and Pros who have responded in this thread. My intent was not to lay a guilt trip on some of you have already posted large volumes of puzzles. Every puzzle that you add, I see as a bonus. You've already contributed so much.

What I was trying to emphasize and encourage is our newer members posting puzzles.   :)

I understood that Otto and judging by the replies of some of our newer members they have excellent resources to add new and interesting puzzles.  ;)

Yes, we're waiting with baited breath for your 1000th puzzle!

America75:  don't worry about puzzles being easy; many of mine are and they are good for getting some of the newer Rookies going and keeping their interest!  Even limited re-posts can be acceptable as the current membership is so vastly different from the membership of 5 or 6 years ago and many will not have been seen by today's members.

I like some of the varied subjects we have been getting recently too, like Tom's scooters and others.  So any subject, as long is it's vaguely motoring-related, is legitimate as a puzzle.  In fact with the number of rare cars available for posting dwindling by the day broadening the horizons is becoming more and more important!

Except for aircraft. Never post a puzzle about aircraft.  ;)

Do flying cars class as aircraft....

Not that I have any to post - might try and come up with some more light puzzles but as I spent the last 6 months studying for exams haven't had much of a chance to look them up.

(I did pass the CCNP qualification though)
