I would like to list all the new car companies that have come out. The members of autopuzzles have the best knowledge when it comes to this. Please include everything and everyone no matter how small they might be even if they aren't in production yet include (Electric, Hybrids,Etc). I thank all who help in this matter.

To get accurate responses, you might want to specify a time window.  Such as "New car companies in the last 10 years", or 5 years, etc.

Please if you don't like the topic and don't want to contribute please keep your comments to yourself. That's all I ask.

Simply talking - there are several hundreds of them. I am not even counting those from China which are (well, almost) impossible to track and count. However, who cares about the different between clones of Quindong, Zhongdong, Qingling, Guangzhoudong or whatever?

My suggestion to your question, if you are really interested in listing recent marques would be simply try to follow latest news as much as you are able to do that.
Also another kind suggestion would be to try to concentrate on particular field of cars. I can't imagine one person covering sportscars, supercars, kitcars, volume makers, Chinese cars, racing cars, electric cars, hybrids, various prototypes still under development, concept cars... and still have not mentioned all and everything.

Honestly and once again - there are simply just too many of them.

Jokes apart, Arunas is right, I'm trying to cover them all but I needed a starting point.
These suggestions are good, it's really hard to list all that is new, even if only few years, without a guideline.
Just take Autopuzzles, you'll see thousands of prototypes, concepts, studios, university works, tuned cars that are recent and are scattered all over the web.

As I told you before, I'm in if you need help, but I don't know how to start and I can't just give you thousands of names without a little explaination for each...

Paul Jaray

I try to explain myself.
You can't ask for such a generic help, because it's not clear how could it be possible.
Many times here on AP some members ask for help in their work, like books or other stuff, but generally the requests are for example: help me finding Fiat-Based cars or 3-wheelers or more pics of this car, etc.
In this case it's easy, each one of us can look at his database and sort out the info easily.
But in your case I'll have to look into each folder, find the date, list it and post it...without knowing: 1. if you already have it, 2. if I have to explain what is that name, what does it produce, my source, etc...you can imagine the time it will request!
It would be much easier, for example, if you post a list yourself (here or in your new site) and each one can look at it and add what's new.
My best suggestion is: visit regularly many blogs featuring new cars, I know you are familiar with many of them, and go back through the pages to see what's there.
Create a folder, a record or whatever of each make you know and you'll find in this search and you'll have a list.
That list will be your starting point and you'll see that you can't go in any direction.
You can then look the areas where you need more help and then join more forums about that area and look there too, or buy books on the subject.

Hope this helps.  ;)

Advise taken. I appreciate all input all u guys have to say except for the person who said that it was Sysyphus task. I mean if you don't have anything nice or helpful to say don't say it I understood where he came from but he didn't have to say it in such a matter keep it to your self or word it differently. Am I right Or wrong

My personal idea (he can explain himself and doesn't need me for that) is that it was a friendly comment.
A gentle way to say "hey pal, what you are trying to do is impossible!".
I also understand that is frustrating trying to look for help and receiving these comments and
I agree with this " if you don't have anything nice or helpful to say don't say it" but I don't know what you mean with "I understood where he came from" and I think this could be misunderstood!

pnegyesi

I tend to agree with PJ. Or Arunas for that matter. Arunas is doing a website where, among other things, he tries to collect Soviet homemade cars. I'm not in his shoes, but he's nowhere near complete.

In the last 5 years plenty of companies appeared in South America. Or better yet, just for fun, list 10 Chinese companies which went into electric cars in the last 5 years. Any of the two and I'm willing to help

What i mean was the direction of his comment .That it was an impossible task or a task that would that is not specific like many of u suggested and could never be all comprehensive. Like u said it was friendly comment but could have been worded better. I am trying to make a project like many of you are doing I don't need to hear or see comments like that. But I don't want this topic to be overrun by this matter.

In terms of what I have I have nothing. All I have is the most basic of books. Beaulieu and a few other encyclopedia's nothing like Single language books from italy or germany. So I don't have much and I would never say that I have that. All I want is the company name I don't need an explanation just the company name and where u found it.

Paul Jaray

You remind me myself when I started, that's why I'd like to be useful to your project.
A great willing to have it done, the convintion it can be done and the struggle to get help.
That is why, I think, I understand what you need and what won't help you.
You won't stop, so it's useless keeping telling you won't make it.
I'll tell you that, even if you will not able to do it, you'll enjoy the task if you follow your passion like I did and you do not have to stop if you keep that in mind.
...but you have to do your homework to get help and have someone interested in your project.
I know you have a huge list of websites with many makers...organize it, and let us know how it will work and how you want us to fill it.
You want me to start?

Here is a list I did long ago with lists taken from the web, it's not my index and far, far, far from complete, but, just in case:

First let me say that I really appreciate everything everyone has to say I really do. In terms of your list anything u can give me would be greatly appreciated. As u said I will never give up not as long as new companies and new cars come out and old cars are still waiting to be discovered

Paul Jaray

I can't upload all the letters one by one...here's the file.
Page2  is a mix of lists taken from the web, pag1 another list I found somewhere.

I don't think I will ever be near complete. It's the same like to be near impossible.

Paul Jaray

Right, but it was a formidable starting point.
starting from his collection I found 1500 pictures and approx 130 more cars!

I've got more lists like these, but you can easily find them on the web.
Organize them as you please and then let us know how can we keep it updated.

i feel that a private apology in my eyes is not sufficient. I want to apologize to Wendax for my response to his comment it was unacceptable and it was poor character on my part I hope that he will accept my apology and will not hold it against me also other members of the forum as well it is not in me to make conflict and in my short sitedness that is what I did so I do apologize. I do welcome peoples suggestions but I know it's an impossible task however I will change my requests in the future to be more specific. Some one once told me that "Autopuzzles is a place where knowledge and precision, but also in great amounts humour and politeness find their place" Wendax. I find that this statement is very true and I feel that I broke the spirit of that statement and this forum. It is my hope that Wendax and the Forum will accept my apology for my actions. If it is your wish that I be banned from the forum I will except that punishment. It was a stupid thing to do and I realize that.

Arunas

Guys, were are all here to share two main things - passion and knowledge for cars. IMHO, there are nu judges or punishers in this community.
For both sides: don't take things too seriously, try to be helpful and have as much fun as you can. It is a really good place to be here, trust me!

Wendax

Rosenbergm, apology accepted, no wish for a ban ever intended.
Have fun at AutoPuzzles, and there is nothing I can add to Arunas' wise post.

rosenbergm

Their is a matter I need help with . I need suggestions it's not really a new car company. But I am trying to get pictures of the rolls Royce's that where used by the Indian royalty prior to separation. Anyone have pictures. From what I know a lot of rolls Royce's went to India, they where rolls Royce's biggest customers ordering 4,5,6 at a time. I am looking for pictures of those cars and which Coachbuilders they had. Anyone??.

Thank you wendax again it was a stupid thing and because of me it was blown way out contro

RayTheRat

Somewhere on the web is a site devoted to Indian limousines..or cars of the Maharajas...I can't find it right now (yes, I've been up all night following the Daytona 24 hour race) but some creative googling should leadyou to it.
