Hello Pal,

This is Bill's daughter Harlequin.  Unfortunately, my father passed away on September 19th with my mother by his side. I am sure that he would have loved the brochure that you sent to him.  He has many friends from around the world and I am trying to notify them as I can.
Were you a member of a group with him?  I'm trying to determine where all the groups are to let them know.

Thank you for being a friend to my father.

Sincerely,

Harlequin Murray

My condolences. I'm deeply sorry.

Carnut

I'm really sorry to read that.
Bill was a first-class guy and a real enthusiast here.  He was in fact a part-owner of this site.
I had noticed he hadn't been around for a while and was hoping it was just a short illness preventing him temporarily.

My deepest condolences and we will really miss him here.

Very sad news. My heartfelt sympathies. Bill was our resident genius on commercial trucks and military vehicles and his expertise will be sorely missed.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

My deepest condolences, too. I will really miss his pleasant and gentle way he shared his knowledge and experience with us.

I just read this. My deepest condolences...what a sad new.
He was very interested in military vehicles and we exchanged few messages in the past. He was extremely kind and gentle. I'll miss him.

Sorry for your loss.  It was wonderful having him as part of our community.

My condolences Harlequin, and all of Bill's family. I exchanged some messages with Bill about one year ago and he sent me some of his Chinese brochures when he was moving his store.

We shared the same interest in Asian cars and we both felt that it was getting more and more difficult to gain points at Autopuzzles. Even if I am a little bit younger than him, we belonged to the older members of the gang.  He spent so much time at searching for the answers and each time he commented about the numerous hours he spent in vain. But more and more he left the puzzles. I'll miss him.  We had good time together, even far from each other.
