For a long time I've been thinking about why the number of picture-views and topic-views of the same puzzle differs and unfortunately I haven't found any results. I Would feel very happy, if somebody may be so kind and tell me the explanation?
I don't know the counting algorithm, but I guess whenever you enter for example the first Rookie Puzzles page all visible thumbnail pictures will increase the counter of the respective pictures on the single puzzle pages.
Indeed, each thumbnail in the topic list is actually the same file as the puzzle photo, it's just downsized to fit the layout. That's why the picture view count is pretty much always higher than the topic view count.
Many thanks for quick reply. The explanation is what I thought about. So, if I understand right, the topic-view-counter is far much more meaningful about how many people are interested in a puzzle, than the picture-view-counter.
