Please name the brand of the red truck for 1 point.
(Just to make it clear, I'm not looking for its original name but a re-badging. :))

This is a FAW Jiefang Junwei J5K. But I am looking for a North Korean rebadging.

Not Ssangma. (it has been asked above)
-
Dandong Huanghai was in talks with FAW Jiefang in 2009 about exports to North Korea. Am I on the right path?
-
I have no info regarding ties to Dandong Huanghai. I can tell you the brand name is described as a joint venture, but north Korean sources claim the trucks are actually manufactured locally (I don't think that's true).
-
Konsor?
-
No.
-
I've found two pictures of what I supposed it's the same truck. According to Google translator: Woo Yoon Seung
-
The silver truck is a Sungri 5-ton, the white truck is a Pyonghwa Ssangma 0202 and the red truck is a Pyonghwa Ssangma 1006 (indeed also a FAW Junwei J5K). But the truck I am looking for has a different brand and badge. :)

I think Oguerrerob deserves a point for his detective work :)
-
Wouldn't mind that at all, although Ssangma was just mentioned above twice. :P
-
I think Oguerrerob deserves a point for his detective work :)
Thank you, but I'll keep searching, maybe I'll find it :)

So in 2012 there was an exhibition at the SEZ of Chinese trucks and tractors. It seems this was followed by a JV but I can't find the details yet
-
The name starts with 'Sam'.
-
I give up and let someone else find this.
In August, 2013 Chinese media reported that FAW signed a memorandum of understanding on setting up a plant in the Rasun Special Economic Zone. None of the reports mentioned a brand name
