Austin-healey chassis?

Djetset

In truth, not 100% certain what the chassis/mechanical base is, but 99% certain that it is not Austin-Healey.

I'm not 100% certain of the chassis' origins, but a Ford seems more likely.

Yes and no. The builder's name will help you to the answer of the chassis make and model name as well.

Is the chassis from one of the specialist companies eg Buckler

The chassis is indeed by Buckler, so now Locked to you to tell me the model and who made this body.

I wish I could, but it has eluded me and I shall have no time for the next few days. I hope someone else can find it.

Carnut

Is it the SM Special with a body built by Grove Works, Ipswich?

Sorry but I've no idea. I took this image from a UK car club's display at and event last year, but no club member know much about the car and had never seen it.

It was very cold. I came back inside.......

I hate to do it this way, it's against most of my principles, but points are scarce up here in the Pros. If you know the registration, does it begin alphabetically A-L ? *

(* this is my version of "is it west of Paris but east of Tmbuktu?" - I bet you know who I'm talking about............)

Sorry Nicanary but I don't know the UK registration number as it was already obscured in the photo I took of the photo. If it helps (which realistically it won't) I took this photo at a well-known exhibition centre located about 360 driving miles to the south of Belfast (excluding the wet sea section)!
