This is a family picture, taken in Mar del Plata - Argentina towards the end of WWI.
All I know is the marque of the car, I don't know the model, the coachbuilder or the exact year.
So for one point what's the marque and extra point for any information that can be proved.

Minerva?

Yes Minerva, one point for pnegyesi, but I won't move it to the solved section because I'd like help to identify the model and year.
The eldest child in the picture, my aunt, was born in 1911 and her youngest brother in 1914, which means the picture was taken during WWI. This is the only picture I have of this car.

On the Minerva website, it shows this as a 1911 Type X Open Tourer. Here's the picture they provide:

Thank you very much for your input and please forgive me for not having answered before, I don't know how I missed it. I had seen the Minerva site, the car is circa 1911 and may be a X 26 CV, but there also was a smaller 16 CV and a larger 38 CV, I feel more inclined to believe it's the 38 CV. I'm looking for conclusive evidence that may confirm the exact model. Wikimedia Commons has an even nicer picture of the car you posted and there's a Belgian site with information about all Minerva models.

Why do you believe it's the 38CV? I'm looking at some pictures and everything from the scale of the Type X to the odd B-pillars to the fold down windshield matches your original picture. It has the same funky roof too. From what I can tell, everything on the X26 CV matches your picture more accurately than the 38CV does. Just curious to know why you think it is the 38CV :)

How about this 38 CV? The car does look longer, but the picture would seem to be somewhat elongated.

Much much much more convincing. However, it is, as you pointed out, longer. And even if the picture is slightly distorted, look at the distance between the seats when compared to the original picture. Think about where the little box on the side sill would be in the original picture compared to the one you just posted. I think the 38CV has a solid 1-2 feet more length than the car in question. I appreciate your willingness to have a conversation with me by the way. I'm a rookie who has little knowledge of these older cars, but you refrain from treating me as such. Thanks! :)

I think that Choppertrain may be right; I haven't found better pictures of X26 that could get every doubt away, but quiz car seems quite little to me to be a 38cv. In 1911 such a power was mostly reserved to limousine and 7 passengers tourer.
Anyway, it's a pleasure to discover among the Rookies someone like Choppertrain who shares with us the excitement of digging in car history.

What do you suggest, should I move it to solved or black hole?

I tlhink I'd move it to Solved, since the marque has been identified.
It's virtually 5 years now and no-one has been able to add the model name so I doubt whether putting it into the Black Hole would elicit any further response and I think it would spend the rest of its life there!
