Is there a connection to Turin?
No

Quote from: pnegyesi on June 10, 2019, 06:39:43 AM
(BTW I have another car and an extra identified, can I reveal these and ask a question or only once I finish the current one?)
Just go ahead, the 24 hours refer to the start of an attempt at a new combination. Once started you can have a try at all your combinations you are already working at. Initially I wanted to avoid that somebody answers for most of the combinations at once, before anybody else can join in. But that doesn't seem to be the case. So I'll probably lift that restriction soon.

Oops, you have set up one just for me,
Car K is the Hungarian Dream, built by Mátyás Borlóy, extra q is the UAZ-based jeep in the workshop of HICOX, a company set up by him.

I assume the architecture connection is about HICOX, right?

pnegyesi

is the connection about one of the engineers at FATA?

Yes, combination K-?-q locked for you

No, the architecture connection is far-flung.

No, but getting closer

pnegyesi

is the Aurea connection about the cars in Australia?

is the HICOX/Borloy connection related to the name, Borloy?

pnegyesi

Let's move another one a bit
Car R is claimed to be a 1959 Crosley based special from Sacramento, CA. Builder is unknown. I assume architecture is also from Sacramento, right?

Well, let's forget about the 24-hour restriction.
Car R is a Crosley special, but the architecture connection is not Sacramento. No lock for that.

Architecture 20 is the Crosley building
while at it, could extra P be a Crosley radio?

I would like to encourage others to jump in.

And Wendax, if you wish, I can stop :)

Regarding the HICOX/Borloy thing, is there a Trabant connection?

Regarding Aurea - is there a connection with Nazzaro and the building both companies occupied?

Yes, R-20-p is the right combination. The Crosley radio is a Crosley Fiver Roamio, to whom it may concern.

It is okay for me, if you work yourself through this puzzle. I just wouldn't have liked to see the puzzle gone within minutes at pro level, as it takes a lot of time to collect ideas and pictures, as well as design the puzzle. I also would like to encourage other pro puzzlers to join in, although I know that this kind of puzzle doesn't fascinate everyone. Tom_I and Ehhxekt, where are you?  :)

Extra T is a Georges Irat Voiture du Bled. Georges Irat was first based in Chatou. Is Chatou the architectural connection ?

Well, I'm lurking in the background. I haven't visited much recently, but spotted this puzzle yesterday, though I 'm not making much progress yet, other than with things that have already been solved.

But to try and make a start, being of a certain age, I recognise Extra i as overweight private detective Frank Cannon (played by William Conrad), and his Lincoln Continental, from the American TV series "Cannon", first shown in the 1970s. I think the architecture link is with 5, the rotunda in the Cannon House office building in Washington DC (though there seems to be a mistake somewhere, as the "answers" post has 5 as the Domus Aurea, which I think is a different picture).

But the car link is the problem. I thought I had found a Hotchkiss, which would have fitted, but it has already been identified as an Amilcar. So all I have at the moment is the possibility that Car M could be the bodyshell of a Mike Cannon trials car, but it's a bit of a guess.

Car N : Renault 12 Camargue
Extra L : Rolls Royce Camargue by Sbarro
Is the architectural connection the Camargue region ?

Your right twice: at first I made a mistake and didn't check the number for Domus Aurea. So, the Fata Aurea is unlocked again now.
Secondly, the combination M-5-i is absolutely correct and perfectly identified, as car M is indeed a Cannon trials car bodyshell.

Car W and Architecture 12 correct, so combination W-12-? locked for you.
Extra n is not a Ferguson tractor.
