Update 170: Skin, Cherry rivets, dual purpose drain/vent and painted panels.

This is Jim Hume:

He's a master designer, engineer and fabricator.  He's been the main constructor of the streamliner for the last 12 years.  I'm sure his hair wasn't that color when he started.  :)  Seriously, he's the most talented and skilled "creator of things" that I know...or that I know of.  Not only is he a master of metal, but his wood working skills are beyond belief.  Check this update we did in 2009:

Also in 2009, Glenn Freudenberger (aka "Doc Freud"...a nickname Ed Roth gave him) did a video interview with Hume.  He broke it into 3 parts.  They're on youtube and the links to it are on this page:

As an aside, if you've ever taken a good look at NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Cars...for instance John Force's, and seen the stainless tanks for oil and fuel, then you've seen Hume's work.  Stainless and seamless works of art.  Well, it seems that everything he makes becomes a work of art.

I hope you enjoy seeing his work as much as I.  But if you're like me, it might be a good idea to hide sharp objects and weapons before checking his work out.  It sure makes me think about stuff like that when I compare my work to his.

Here's one of the images from the update.  It's one of the two drive lines.  I don't know if it's front or rear, but you can see just about all the components that are used between the drive belts and the torque tube.
