It looks kind of like a Bentley badge on the front.

No guesses yet from Stephen M or SeaLion.

Perhaps you should put NTC in the title.

In size it looks like a racing Lotus Elan, and it looks as a yellow flower (daisy?) in the front, but as the Elan was quite light allready, an aluminium body would be kind of overkill.

A question to be asked is: Is it a british car?

Because of its diminutive size and rhd configuration, I was gonna say a Lotus something or other. Only because I saw a real Lotus Europa on the road the other day. MAN, those things were tiny!   :o

It is British, but not a Lotus.

I was thinking that it might be a rebodied MG/Triumph/Lotus (three wild guesses in one!), but my first guess was an Opel GT, until that got shot down.  Too easy that was, I suppose....

Not an MG or a Triumph. However, the chaps who made this car (one of a very limited run) also made more aerodynamic versions of Triumph cars for competition.

In 1964 the Morgan chassis was used as the basis for the SLR, a racing car designed by Chris Lawrence and John Sprinzel. 3 of these cars were built, and competed at LeMans and other road-racing venues.

I though Ultra's zeroing in on the logo had doomed this one to an quick solution! :)

One (out of the 3 made) is about to come up at auction this or next month; soon anyway.
Now's your chance!
It's red by the way.

I was mistaken, sorry
The rare red car I was thinking about is an ATS 2500GTS which is being auctioned at RM's Battersea (London) auction on 28th October.   A few pages further on in the magazine is a picture of a red SLR Morgan but it's part of an ad for a Morgan dealer and I was confusing the 2 pictures in my mind.

Sorry for getting your hopes up!

The estimate for the ATS by the way is £600,000 - £1m.   In other words they haven't a clue....

It's in the latest Classic Cars, too, which dropped through my door yesterday.
It is of course the same car that's coming up for auction.
Just nipping out for a lottery ticket...

Actually I WAS (partially) right all along!  I thought senile dementia hadn't set in just yet...

The red SLR Morgan is featured in a 5 page article in the current issue of 'Octane' magazine.
I quote from that story:

Quote
With the recent repatriation of the Red Car featured here, UK enthusiasts are enjoying something of a second Golden Age of Morgan SLRs - all three are once again based in this country.  The Silver Car, originally built for Pip Arnold and used by underdog Chris Lawrence in '64 to embarrass the factory Porsches at Spa, is currently owned by Adrian Van der Kroft; the Green car, built for Lawrence himself, is owned by Keith Ahlers, and all three compete at British historic events.
That may not remain so in the future, however.  Adrian has just announced he is putting the Silver Car - pictured, above, at the 1964 European GP at Brands Hatch - on the market.  Having owned and raced it for ten years, Adrian says his interests are now moving more toward pre-war cars and single-seaters, and he would like to see the SLR in the hands of someone who will keep using it.
Interested parties should contact Richard Thorne Classic Cars, +44 (0)118 983 1200,  www.rtcc.co.uk
Unquote

So there you are Quiller, Rich and anyone else interested.  Off you go and check that piggy bank!
Now I'm just off to check that lottery ticket I bought; maybe I can get the ATS AND the SLR Morgan!
