Here is the site I received my info from......http://www.linkdeleted.html.
They show this car as a Corvair "Z".

Allemano

@ mymokke: PM the link you've got and I will tell you if your source is more reliable than mine.

mymokke

Sorry for breaching the policy .... won't happen again. :-[
I PM the site to you.

Allemano

Sorry, but I believe my source is more reliable.. I have it as a proposal for a different car model..

mymokke

I'll keep looking, thought "Motortrend" was a reliable source. ;)

Allemano

Let's do it that way: if you prove my source wrong after the puzzle is finished I'll give you two points compensation..
My source is owned by a person who was closely related to the design team which developed this car.

I have it as an "Early" mid-engined Corvette prototype design by Larry Shinoda and Ron Hill...but if my info turns out to be wrong I won't duke it out in court  :)

Exactly. More infos when I'm home again.

mymokke

This is what was indicated online about the car shown.
Designer Larry Shinoda usually got the look right, but nothing could keep this idea from being more wrong. The notion was to build a "junior" Corvette on the rear-engine Corvair chassis, in the hopes that some of the Vette's good mojo would rub off on a less-expensive car. Considering the Corvair's ultimate fate, it's best that this plan never went beyond the clay-model stage.

Is the picture posted the clay mockup?
