Hi! :)

thank you for all you interest in Murena, you have no idea how this make my family happy!

I will try to get together some pictures I have of Murena to post it here and as soon as I can, I'll upload the youtube video.

Paul Jaray, were you able to contact my uncle Angelo? I don't remember the name of uncle Gianni's car workshop... Send me your email and I will help you get in touch with them. My email is deb.baldelli (at ) gmail (dot) com

Best,
Debora Baldelli

Ciao Debora,

I'll send you an email right away.
Can you tell us if the Murena was based on Fiat parts?
We have a member who wrote several books about Fiat based car and his next book is about 124 & 125 derivates... (http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=13670.100).
I never had the chance to contact your uncle Angelo, but if uncle Gianni is still in business in Rome I can try to pass by his place next week and have a chat with him...

Paul Jaray

Time to move this in the "Rare Car of the Week" area...
More info and pics are coming soon!

This is really un-be-lie-va-ble!
Debora from Brazil told us that his uncle Giovanni is still in business in Rome...his uncle Angelo told me he sold his workshop and now works in a carrozzeria that is.....1km from where I lived for nearly 10years in Rome...along the same street!!
Tomorrow I'll be there and I'll make a short walk till his workplace and look for more....
Ah...I will also post some more pics I received from Angelo, plus some details.

Hello everyone,

together with Paul Jaray we have prepared some information and description about the Baldelli Murena. The article on my website is already available HERE. I bet PJ will post his info and pictures (which are amazing, but not of a very good quality, as you can notice) as soon as he's back online.

Enjoy and much thanks for AutoPuzzles!  :applause:

Thank you so much, though the pics are indeed somewhat disappointing.
How I wished there would be a side and rear view available..

Paul Jaray

I met Mr Baldelli yesterday.
We talked about his car in his workplace, between Ferraris (599, 612, ...) a couple of Maserati Granturismo (coupe and cabrio) an Alfa Romeo 8c spider, .... and he promised more pics.
He is a very pleasant man and you can feel his passion for the car he and his brothers did back in the 70s.
They just had the right idea in the wrong time.
He and his brothers worked on other projects too and he is going to show me some scale models he did for Bugatti, Ferrari, and more...
I'll collect all I can, take pictures, scanning papers, whatever and then you'll have all too...
It will take some time because I don't know where I'll be back in Rome but when I'll do I'll just have to take a walk into that amazing place...

I received pictures, an old newspaper and a 10-minutes video of the Murena in action.
I'll have to organize the whole thing and I'll be back...in the meantime:

While I'm waiting to receive the info about Mr Baldelli's following projects, I'll post here few pics of his scale models.
We already saw his microcar, which was a proposal for Tasso...never materialized due to its cost for production.

Here you are a scale model of the car that was supposed to replace the Countach:

I'm waiting for the correct year of this model...Mr Baldelli told me that it was well before many other cars that later shared similar lines...
I also found this drawing of a proposal for a restyling of the rear end of the Countach...look at the year:

I don't know what Paolo Martin may think about it, but take a look at Baldelli's proposal for Bugatti:

Depends on the date it was made...

Mr. Baldelli seems to be quite busy and since I am too I'm not pushing...
In the meantime, Debora's been able to upload the video:
