 ???
Are you looking for a specific name for the car, or just the Cadillac basis where it is based on like Series 60S, Series 62 or Series 75?

Paul Jaray

The answer is easier than you may think.
This car has a specific name.

The answer is easier than you may think.
This car has a specific name.

In that case Cadillac Convertible, Cadillac Cabriolet or Cadillac Roadster.

Or is it not THAT easy  :D

Paul Jaray

Not that easy, this car has a unic, specific name.
I'll tell you later why I thought it was very easy.

1953 Cadillac Le Sales? My yesterday's research turned no results on Motto Cadillacs :P

Paul Jaray

That's it, 1955 Cadillac Le Sales by Motto.
If you google "Motto + Cadillac", it should be the 2nd result.
Well done, 1 point for you.

75america

Damned, alo just found the Cadillac Le Sales 1953 name on wikipedia  >:(

faksta

I also found it on wiki, an Italian one, but AFAIR it was a third page of Google results, not the second result.

Paul Jaray

I used Google.it  ;D
Ok, probably not so easy.

Le Sales (translation: The Sales)? Or LaSalle, (Cadillac's former companion brand, and a name used on Cadillac show cars)?

I received an email yesterday by a friend of the owner of this car.
The car is still alive and I asked him to add some more info and pics.

I received more pics and a 2-page article about this car...it's much more than a simple coachbuilt car and the name of this creation is (the car still exists) "The Elegante".
I'll add all I have shortly.
In the meantime, another pic:

Le Sales (translation: The Sales)?

"Le" suggest a french name, as any amateur of Pepé Le Pew is aware.
And "Le Sales" would rather be translated by "The Dirties", although there is is a grammatical impossibility, "Le" being singular and "Sales" plural.

A recent source simply calls it "Elegante".
And the original color was, err... gold white:
