Toyota Celica engine ?
It was a four cylinder Toyota engine, but I don't know which one.

Super Seven Replica by Prof. Nial McCabe' Students County College of Morris, Randolph, New Jersey
"Another student project (stored at my house during summer break). Our front-engine Super Seven replica. Chassis built with 2" by 1" steel tube. Early Toyota Corolla drive train (1200 push rod and 4 speed manual). Front suspension was 1968 VW Beetle with brakes re-drilled to accept Toyota pattern. Never raced it.....fun to buzz around the school parking lot (our classes became very popular as a result of these "car projects")"

It looks like you found a source where McCabe provides a few more mechanical details than he does in mine. However, in my source, McCabe states that this vehicle was built by students of a different New Jersey school, not County College of Morris in Randolph. LOCKED for you to identify the correct school.

Edit: I found your source. Go back and read the very first sentence on that page. ;)

Built between 1970 and 1975 ?
The source says "late 1970s."

Something like a technical high school ?
No, just a regular American high school.

Industrial Arts?
That's not the name of the school, that's just a type of class that used to be offered at most US high schools (more commonly referred to as "shop" class and what I was alluding to here). What you're looking for is the name of the high school where McCabe taught industrial arts/shop class in the late 1970s. This car was built by the students of that high school.

By the way, I went back to what I believe is your source and searched, but couldn't find the name of the high school mentioned anywhere on that website. You're going to have to look for it elsewhere. My source is still out there!

Still LOCKED for you.
