In 1935, H.G. Röhr began his design work at Mercedes-Benz, bringing his own development team with him.
By Mercedes standards, the project had revolutionary features.
Water-cooled boxer engine with gearbox and differential combined to form a front-wheel drive unit, self-supporting body without B-pillars, independent suspension on all wheels. And then it was developed by an external group! Several prototypes were built.
Unfortunately, Röhr died unexpectedly of pneumonia in 1937.
As a result, the development of this model was immediately terminated, documents destroyed and the prototypes scrapped.
