Looks like it is electric motor driven so I guess the engine is just powering a generator.
As it is right hand drive British?
-
You’ve got the Electric Motor part right! But i’m afraid it isn’t British.

Anything to do with LeTourneau?
Yes! Locked for you to find the answer!
-
Still locked ? I've found the answer.
-
Ooops, I forgot about this one. Just give me an hour.
-
It looks to me like the LeTourneau Air Tow, built by R.G.LeTourneau, Longview, Texas. It was a four-wheel driven and four-wheel steered diesel-electric tractor with dual direction drive control panels.
-
Not quite there yet... Dig a little deeper!

So you are probably looking for the 1950 Letourneau Tournatow:

Yes! That would be it! But i still need the Builder, Location, and where it was first featured...
-
Builder: R.G. (Robert Gilmour) LeTourneau (as stated before)
Location: Edgewater Beach Hotel in Chicago on November 17, 1950
It was his first vehicle using the diesel-electric-drive system called Electric Wheel.
