You are right. It is an repost, but this puzzle hasn't been solved, before I removed it from this website. The reason, why I removed it: I had to precise my questions, because my questioning was too general

I think, you misunderstand my answer:

Please tell me more about my mistake, you may have found within my answer to your question: 'Is there a connection with GMC?'

1) 'Not a GMC', as first part of my answer, means nothing more, than it isn't a GMC
2) 'but a connection..', as the second part of my answer, means nothing else, than there is a connection..

I think, the only possible answer, which leads in the right direction, as the 'GMC'-connection is not 'Chevrolet', but 'General Motors'

Even in spite of your greatest persistence:
'GMC' is the brand-name of an automobile manufacturer since 1911, incorporated in 'General Motors Corporation' in 1919. A very good GMC-book in my library explains the brand's history perfectly.

Sorry, I can't rewrite history, but we can relax and direct our focus back to the puzzle. Any further idea?
