By the way, the 'Avis' name was a tribute to Elcomb's wife, Avis Anne 'Scooter' Elcomb.

Gosh, the Avis must be tiny, as the Saab behind it (not exactly a big car itself) looks like a Cadillac Escalade by comparison. Do you know any more about the Avis, as in which Renault engine it used, etc. Thanks.

The source that I've found just said Renault-base
