Alvis TD21 by Graber, about 1961- 63? Unusual to see a 4-door.

It's a Graber Alvis but not a TD21.
Locked for you to find the right model and date; shouldn't be too difficult because, as you say, there weren't many 4-door cars from this era.

The Alvis Owners Club records show this car listed as a 1963 TD21 Series 2, chassis #26935. I would have thought it was a TE21 but the records state otherwise.

OK; nearly all the very few pictures that there are of this car don't say which model it is, so there is clearly some confusion.
When I was researching it I had a lot of difficulty deciding which it was but decided on the information on one particular site which said it was the last 4-door Alvis ever made, a TE21 built by Graber in 1964.
Since it has the later Graber front end which I had not seen on anything earlier than a TE21 that's what I decided upon, but you would think the Alvis Owners' Club would know..
I'll leave it open in the answer as I'm not convinced it's a TD21..
You get the point anyway.

I'm with you on this one - the front end says TE-21 to me, not TD-21. However, the Alvis Owner's Club keeps pretty good records, and the listings are submitted by the owners of the cars - and I would think that they would know what they have. Also, the shipping date for the chassis is listed there as January 1963, and I have often wondered how long it took Graber to actually complete and deliver the car . . . perhaps it was into 1964? In any case, a 4-door 3-litre Alvis TD-anything is pretty rare. It's a lovely car, and a great puzzle choice. I think both of us would appreciate anyone with further documented information on this car adding it here.
And thanks for the point - it's difficult when there is conflicting or unclear information about the puzzle car, and in the end, it's your puzzle and your call.

Yes, if there's an Alvis expert out there who can say definitively what this is I'd love to hear!
