What's this, dating from when - for 1 point?:
-
German?
-
Yes..
-
Prototype of DKW F 102?
-
No
-
Or Mercedes W 118?
-
No Mercedes. A Wartburg Prototype, Modell 314 (P 100), mid-mounted engine, horizontally installed, 1964/65.
-
No, it's not a Wartburg (or a Mercedes..)
-
I think, now I've got it rally. Prototype of Ford 12 M (P4) from 1959.
-
That's the one!
Well done.
On some sites it gives the date as 1962, but I think it's a 1959 prototype for the model which appeared in 1962.

Thanks. Sometimes it seems, that some of designers from that time, attended the same academy.

This is just a mock-up, as you can see by the stabilizing column in the middle of the driver's compartment. The picture is mirrored, too. It shows one of many stages of the very complex creation of the Ford Taunus 12 M P4 with two rivaling development streams, the Cardinal in Detroit and the NPX in Europe. I've also seen the year 1961 tagged to this picture.
-
Thank you for these hints.

Thanks Wendax.
I never really looked at the stabilizing column, assuming it to be part of the window in the building!
I reversesd the picture myself, as I often do when there is no reason not to, like making the steering wheel on the other side.
