No, the question only means what engine does it have.
It's a petrol engine borrowed from a production car.

It's not really from a manufacturer; more a home-built but using some parts from a kit-car.

If ever a car had a tortured history, this is it.
Bought originally as a Dial Buccaneer Kit by John Wingrove, very little of the kit remained by the time it was completed. It emerged with a new spaceframe chassis with Lotus Elan suspension, Ford V6 power with minimal re-use of the Buccaneer body.
