Please tell me what this car is called and what car formed the basis (reputedly) ?

1972 Graduate M8F replica by Phil Verwoert of Australia 351 Cleveland powered. Cooper T 53 chassis based.

Thanks for the PM. Somehow I missed your post yesterday.

You're absolutely right and the point is yours. The history of this car is pretty complicated - it started out as a Cooper T53 left behind after the regular Tasman Championship and was gradually modernised and rebodied by Stan Starcevich and then Don O'Sullivan, called at various times a Cooper-Ford, the SS111 and then The Graduate when it was bodied as a homage to CanAm McLarens. It's powered by a Ford V8 rather than a Chevy  and I doubt much of the old Cooper remains in the present car.
