It's not F4 or F3, but much more an unofficial class of racing. However, you have stumbled on the engine used.
-
hmmmm …. nothing is emerging from my google finger. Is this unofficial series purely for Renault 4cv powered single seaters?

They were all built with that engine, yes. Later versions used a Dauphine engine.

I don't know much about the races, but from the name I'd say it was a form of rallycross.

Does it have the words racer or Renault in it?
Neither. The 4CV engines were used simply because they were freely available, and although the machines took part in races, they were not circuit races as we know it, more offroad in nature.

My notes suggest a date a few years later than that . Tell you what, since this is proving problematic, it's 1970.

Well done ! I don't know much more about it - the photo is from 1970, and the events were held in the Hauts de France region, up near the border with Belgium. I think it was just a bunch of friends who built and raced these cars, rather than being a formal ratified series.
Perseverance again TT ! I like it.
PS 200 points and rising.

Exactly. Later on it became the formal Autocross championship.
