Professionals?

Is it a Begra Fiberglas?
-
well, the body was made by Begra. But that is just a small part of the whole story. Locked for you to uncover the details
-
The wheelarch seems to suggest a Begra Sebring, around 1960/61.
I'll try to delve deeper.
Thank you for the lock.
-
That is a Begra body, but it is not from the 1960s. Good luck
-
I found a Begra with a Saab engine in the 60s. Is there any connection?
-
that is a very good trail. Follow that trail :)
-
I followed the trail..
The car was made in 1967 using the body of the Begra that reced at Sebring in 1959/60 with a 750cc Saab GT engine. The chassis was based on the design of the Elva MK VI. I still don't know the name of the builder..All I could elicit is that it is owned by a guy named Ckuck, the original builder's son
-
The original car was made in 1967. This version was built by the father of Chuck. Still locked.
-
Joe Christ?
-
And the point is yours. To be very precise:
Myron Munchak crashed in what appeared to be a Mk3 Begra (Saab-powered) at the Weatherly Hillclimb around 1965. Munchak's car was definitely some other chassis which had been fitted with Begra bodywork. The chassis was destroyed in the wreck, but Joe Christ bought the body for $100 and put it on his homebuilt chassis (Elva copy). This car clearly has a Mk3 tail and probably Mk3 nose. After several intermediate owners, the car returned to Joe's son Chuck, who made a new body from molds of Begra #3-002. This is pictured
